The anti-corrosion effectiveness of REPAR STEEL results from the high alkalinity and from the superpozzolanic reactivity of the components of the anhydrous system, as well as from the presence, in the liquid component (B), of the specific anticorrosive DCI (Corrosion Inhibitor Agrèment Certificate BBA** n.96/3232), in compliance with the standard UNI 9747, based on a reaction which is capable of making the ferrous ions unavailable for the supply of the electrochemical processes of corrosion. The polymer components of the solution also determine additional increments of effectiveness against corrosion, especially vis-à-vis the aggressive attacks arising from chlorides and sulphates. Passivating protective anti-corrosive treatment for reinforcing rods in restoration works in reinforced concrete.
Carefully remove non-adhering rust, present on the metal surfaces of the exposed reinforcement rods by blasting or deep brushing , until the following condition is reached: "almost white metal" (metal colour as if it has just come out of extrusion).
The mixing of the two components may be implemented by an external mixer or by using a site bucket. Pour the blue solution (component B) into the bucket, while adding the powder gradually and during mixing (component A), mixing until the mixture is completely lump-free; apply by brush on the prepared reinforcing surfaces, for a consumption of about 100 g per metre of oxidized reinforcement to be passivated.

Innovative product, corrosion inhibitor (corrosion-proof migrant), it is mainly recommended on existing concrete walls, to prevent oxidation of rods and the resulting quick degradation of the concrete layer.
