READYMESH PF-540 is a stranded structural polyolefin macro-fibre, high-performance, with a length of 54 mm, specific for the realisation of continuous surfaces made of concrete, it can also be used in replacement of traditional steel reinforcement. The texture, length and surface finishing of READYMESH PF-540 was designed and developed specifically for "exposed" applications, such as industrial floors made of concrete.

The addition of READYMESH PF-540 to the mixture gives the concrete and the resulting manufacture a greater resistance to the forces of traction/bending, reduces the risk of breakage and "spalling" of the concrete component in the corners and edges, drastically reduces the phenomenon of cracks due to shrinkage during the first hours of curing of the concrete.
The particular shape and consistency, allows READYMESH PF-540 not to interfere with the process of mechanical floating typical of industrial floors made of concrete, thus allowing a good surface finish. In addition, the use of READYMESH PF-540 instead of the traditional armour of steel is a great saving of costs of material and installation times (in addition to being lighter, environmentally friendly and safe than electrowelded mesh).

Add the fibres to the concrete during mixing. Mix, with the drum of the mixer truck at full speed, for at least one minute for each m³ of concrete. The dosage, depending on the use, is normally included between 1 to 6 kg/m³ In the case of industrial flooring, it is not recommended for use with doses higher than 3 kg/m³

During the construction of industrial flooring, and in particular for the drafting and smoothing of concrete with power trowel, keep in mind that the speed of hardening of the reinforced concrete may be slightly accelerated.
