The protective transparent and hardening coating for outdoor surfaces QL NANO LITHIUM FINISH EXTERIOR is specifically designed to protect and preserve coloured, decorated surfaces in masonry work and concrete. QL NANO LITHIUM FINISH EXTERIOR is a product that forms a hybrid inorganic, organic transparent, micro-film to harden, seal and protect against damage of humidity and improve the natural colour of the inert materials, brick, slate tiles, exposed stone and cement profiles. Treatment has an extremely reduced VOC content (less than 50 grams per litre), it respects the environment and is almost odourless in terms of polymers/ammonia.

This versatile treatment for outdoors guarantees duration and an excellent adhesion force (surfaces exposed to intense pedestrian traffic, abrasion or chemical substances); it resists stains, dust, UV rays, chemical leaks and heavy traffic.
The extraordinary chemical reagents of QL NANO LITHIUM FINISH EXTERIOR create permanent and insoluble cohesion with the concrete surfaces, quickly hardening (dry to touch in 30 - 60 minutes) to form a protective micro-film on the surface. Thanks to its adherence properties, after installation QL NANO LITHIUM FINISH EXTERIOR does not flake or chip and resists damp. After hardening, the advanced chemical structure of Nano Lithium (NL) does not absorb water or modify alkalinity.
Thanks to the lower viscosity compared to traditional treatments, QL NANO LITHIUM FINISH EXTERIOR guarantees superior penetration in the capillary pores, to offer more even hardening. Having penetrated the porous surface in concrete, QL NANO LITHIUM FINISH EXTERIOR undergoes a series of chemical reactions that give rise to a cross atomic binder to reinforce and seal the concrete surface by creating a long-lasting chemical binder with the surface, ensuring long term protection (often superior to that offered by traditional concrete sealants).
By forming a micro-film, this treatment offers superior resistance to stains and abrasion, as well as greater solidity and durability to those obtained using traditional sealant and thickening coatings. One of a kind in its category for its characteristics, QL NANO LITHIUM FINISH EXTERIOR protects surfaces in the long term from unfavourable conditions and aggression that characterises outdoor areas. With good maintenance, the treated surface will conserve its shine even in the presence of traffic and intense pedestrian traffic. The surfaces will last longer and will be simpler to keep intact and efficient.
Once dry, QL NANO LITHIUM FINISH EXTERIOR creates a "wet effect" coating that is polished and long lasting. The treatment, which quickly hardens and does not turn yellow, improves aesthetic appearance and maintenance and protects a wide range of surfaces in the long term. Perfect for protection of exposed floor slabs in inert material, concrete, brick and stone.

Use fields

Hardening, protective and transparent treatment of industrial floors and screeds in concrete (also moulded and with "washed gravel" technique) both old and new, both grey and coloured.

Preparation of supports

Carefully clean all the surfaces. Mechanically remove efflorescence and stains or repair cracks and damaged areas. Eliminate all the membranes created by hardening compounds, sealants, oil, grease, dirt, dust, residue on walls in gypsum and other contaminating agents. You are advised to carefully clean the surface with a black abrasive pad (fine grain) and a neutral pH detergent. You are not advised to treat the surface with an acid solution, since it may be necessary to rinse it carefully with a neutral pH detergent to correctly neutralise the surface (lack of neutralisation of the pH can cause bleaching). For excellent results, clean the surface by smoothing the floor with sandpaper 60-100 or a diamond abrasive pad. Remove dust and residue with a walk behind or ride on floor washer, using water or a brush, then rinse with water and dry the surface with a cloth for glass. Avoid using detergents containing citrus derivatives (d-limonene) or butyl mixes.

Use method

IMPORTANT NOTE
Apply to more or less new concrete surfaces using the applicator and pad in microfibre. Always check the surfaces of the concrete are suitable and capable of offering the desired results.
Before proceeding, leave the surface to dry perfectly (at least 7 days).
Mix or carefully shake the product before applying it.
Apply QL NANO LITHIUM FINISH EXTERIOR using an appropriate sprayer. Immediately distribute any accumulation using a soft brush. To obtain the desired results, two applications may be necessary. Allow 60 minutes to pass before applying the next layer.
Typical coverage ratio: from 15 to 30 m² per litre.

FINAL RESULTS: Moderate pedestrian passage after 30-60 minutes, vehicle traffic after 2 hours.
To obtain optimum performance, up to 14 days may be necessary, based on the temperature and the humidity. In the presence of cool or damp climatic conditions, prevent the water from stagnating on the surface until completely hardened.

The client is responsible for correct application of the product.
Once dry, the floor will be ready for pedestrian passage. Washing generally requires from 1-2 hours.
To obtain hardening and optimal performance, you are advised not to smooth or polish the surface. The treated surface will be a polished coating and reduce water absorption. Within the space of 7 days, the solidity and resistance of the stains will reach the maximum levels. Smoothing and polishing will only destroy the protective surface and are therefore not recommended for QL NANO LITHIUM FINISH EXTERIOR.

PRECAUTIONS FOR HEALTH AND SAFETY
QL NANO LITHIUM FINISH EXTERIOR is an aqueous solution of lithium silicate that uses the proprietary mixes. It is an alkaline treatment that can irritate the eyes and skin. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Only for external use. Avoid prolonged contact with the skin. Do not ingest. If ingested, do not provoke vomiting; contact a doctor. Avoid contact with eyes. You are advised to use protective clothing. You are advised to wear safety goggles to protect against sprays. If it comes in contact with eyes, rinse with plenty of clean water. If irritation persists, contact a doctor. Wash the relevant areas carefully with soap and water. Consult the safety data sheet to take further precautions, instructions on safety and treatments for first aid. QL NANO LITHIUM FINISH EXTERIOR sticks to most surfaces; rinse immediately with water and delicate detergent.
Attention: surfaces wet with QL NANO LITHIUM FINISH EXTERIOR may be slippery.
